siniak folby Festiwal (Palas x Fatima/Negatiw)

out of Sapala (Cadyk x Saldara/Dardir)

Grey colt, 1993-1994

Bred by: Anette Mattsson

Siniaks sire Festiwal was named German National Champion Stallion. He was on lease to SalEx Arabians during 1992 and was owned by Mr Holger Ismer, Germany. Festiwal is a golden cross as he is by Palas and out of the Negatiw-daughter Fatima. Siniak had a sweet temperament. He had wonderful movements and turned white early. Unfortunately he died tragically in June 1994.

sapala Foundation mare

by Cadyk (El Paso x Cumparsita/Gwarny)

out of Saldara (Dardir x Salamalaika/Algier)

Bay mare, 1984-2008

Bred by: Beit El Kheil Arabians

Owned by: Anette Mattsson

Sapala was my foundation mare and I never forget the first time saw her. It was in 1985 when Mats Axelsson and I went down to Beit El Kheil Arabians with the mare Wierzba (Erystawi x Wiewiorka) to the stallion Karnawal (Etap x Kasta). Sapala was a yearling and she was standing in her stall looking at us with her huge black eyes, so extremely feminine and precious. I fell in love instantly with her and was not surprised at all when I heard that she was by my favourite stallion Cadyk (El Paso x Cumparsita). Little would I know that I two years later would be working at Beit El Kheil Arabians and in 1991 when I was about to buy my first mare I was offered to buy this amazing mare, something I will be forever grateful for. Thank you Åsa and Erik Melander!

Salaterka

by Elton (Etnograf x Elizbieta/Cadyk)

out of Sapala (Cadyk x Saldara/Dardir)

Bay mare, 1997

Bred by: Anette Mattsson

Salaterka is for me the perfect Arabian when it comes to her conformation, Arabian type and most important - her disposition, wonderful with people and an amazing mother. And she is so great to ride and work with. In november 2013 Salaterka was seriously injured out in pasture with a serious fracture that caused her to be in her stall for almost 7 months. She was calm and really handled it really well and it was a relief when she could start to be outside in a small paddock on the 1st of May. I knew that I could never ride her again but I hoped that she could carry a foal as she would be devastated to not have her own foal. I bred both her and her daughter Silencia to Ganges in 2013 and on the 3rd of June 2014 Salaterka gave birth to a dark brown filly. Salaterka was so happy to spend the whole summer with her filly Sharda and Silencia and her colt Savitri. At the end of the summer Salaterka started to loose weight and she was lame on several occassions on different legs without any signs why. Me and my vet understood that it must be the old injury that gave her problem and we decided that she would get as long as she could with her baby but I knew that I was facing a very hard decision.

Salaterka´s sire Elton was the Arabian of the Year in Harness Driving in 1998. His sire Etnograf is a son of the European Champion Engano (Eleuzis x Engracja) and out of the legendary mare Etna (Faher x Elzunia). Etna is the dam of the great stallions Etiw, Etan, Etap, Eternit and Etnograf as well as the mares Etruria – World, European and Polish Champion Mare and Equitana – Polish National Junior Champion Mare.

Elton´s dam Elizbieta is a daughter of Cadyk (El Paso x Cumparsita) and her dam is the beautiful Emir Said-daughter Ellenora. Emir Said (Ali Said x Eleonora) was one of the circus stallions that Erik Erlandsson importerd to Sweden. Ellenora is line-bred to the great Eleonora (Witraz x Zmora) as her dam Ex Diara is a daughter of Exelsjor (Aquinor x Eleonora). Ex Diara´s dam Diara Mokka (Wielki Szlem x Mokdiara) was the first Swedish National Champion Mare in 1964 when Exelsjor was named Swedish National Champion Stallion.

Exelcaby Ciemny (Grojor x Ciotka/Essaul)

out of Exessa (Exelsjor x Edessa/Pietuszok)

Grey mare, 1994-1997

Bred by: Wilkesbacka Arabians

Owned by: Anette Mattsson

Exelca´s sire is Ciemny, a son of the Exelsjor-son Grojor (out of Grobla/El Trypoli) and out of Ciotka (Essaul x Cisawica). Exelca´s dam Exessa is a daughter of Exelsjor making Exelca linebred to this legendary stallion. Exessa´s dam is the Janów Podlaski-bred Edessa (Pietuszok x Ellora) and Exessa is a fullsister to Edjora, the dam of US National Champion Mare Kajora - the dam of the great Gazal Al Shaqab. Exessa has been a valuable mare in Swedish Arab Horse Breeding and can be found in many Swedish pedigrees. Edjora was exported to USA after only leaving one foal - the daughter Wiewiorka (by Espartero), but her descendants has been very successful.

Unfortunately Exelca had to be put down in 1997 due to an injury out in pasture. With her very correct conformation, impressive pedigree and great legacy I am sure that she would have been a great brood mare.
